Jam Definition

Jam Definition: A gathering of groupings of musicians, playing each others music, in harmony, together. The “jam” differs from an “Open Mic” night or a “Karaoke Night” in that jammers play with each other in new and different configurations of musicians, on old or new songs, that the musicians themselves bring to the jam table. We’re breaking bread and passing it around for all those on stage to share. Jammers need, at a minimum, the key a song is in, the chord progression and hopefully at least one or two musicians with some familiarity with the tune. The guest host jammer is the featured musician of the evening.
